Estate Planning

Most of us plan to pass our savings to our heirs. We want it to happen quickly and easily. Unfortunately, the probate process can result in lengthy delays and it becomes public record — not to mention the fees and costs your heirs can encounter. According to the American Bar Association, administrative fees can consume between 6% and 10% of an estate, depending on the state.

Generally, annuity proceeds avoid the probate process. Upon the death of the policyowner, the accumulated value of an annuity is paid directly to the beneficiary(ies), generally avoiding the expense, delay and frustration of probate.
